Buncombe Eye Exams
NOTE for Fire Dept dates: Eye exams are provided by MPI not the Fire Dept or the school, they are hosting ONLY. Eye exams are ONLY available on the dates listed below, and you must pre-register in order to attend.
DO NOT call the FD or school, or arrive on dates other than those listed.
If you have questions regarding eye exams, please refer to this website, your confirmation email, or email/call our main office. If you are unable to attend the date you registered for, you may reply to the confirmation email with that information and sign for another date. The following eye exams are only available for students that have completed or are currently enrolled in driver's education class, and residing in Buncombe County. All others will not be accepted. No more than 50 students may register for any date. Instructor will have a list of students with registrations. ONLY students registered will be allowed to participate.
Note for BME dates: 1) Please do NOT call Black Mtn Elem School. They only provide a venue.
2) Please do NOT show up earlier than the start time of 5:30 PM due to after school activities.
3) The Eye Exams will be held in the Media Center and signs will be up to direct foot traffic to the entrance. Have your RIP form filled out in blue or black ink ready for the Examiner.
